Technology: AutoSyP Experience:After graduating from Rice University with a BS in Bioengineering and a minor in Global Health, Erica Skerrett worked as a Rice 360° Global Health Fellow from 2015-2018. Her work focused on the development of a low-powered syringe pump, which she helped lead through several design iterations and clinical trials in maternity wards in Southern Malawi. Erica is currently pursuing her PhD at Duke University, where her research focus is on the early detection of cervical cancer for global women’s health.
