About the fellowship:
Rice 360° announces the creation of a new post-baccalaureate fellowship for engineers with interests in global health technologies. The one-year Global Health Fellowship will provide fellows with the opportunity to develop, refine, and evaluate affordable, high-performance technologies designed to address health challenges in low resource settings. This Program will prepare fellows for careers in translational global health, appropriate technology, and international development.
Fellows will divide their time between Rice University’s Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen (OEDK) in Houston, TX and a clinical setting in a developing country. The fellowship includes a competitive living stipend, benefits, travel expenses, and funding for technology development.
Eligibility:
The Rice 360° Global Health Fellowship is open to graduating seniors and recent graduates who received their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years. Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in engineering and a demonstrated interest in the development of global health technologies. Prior experience in a low-resource setting is preferred but not required.
